Shooting Star Ranch of Texas in Campbell, Texas is a small, family-owned and operated business that grows less than 700 trees per year.
We started planting trees in 2017 planting Virginia pines. They did not like our soil. We switched to Afghan pines in 2018 that did not go well either finally in 2019 we tried planting a number of different variety of trees. Of the many variety we tried, Cypress trees did the best. Since 2020 we are almost exclusive Arizona and Leland cypress trees.
We serve individuals throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. Whether you’re looking for a Christmas tree or a rental space for an event, we’ve got you covered.
Today
We plant and grow Cypress trees not pine trees. We now have about 2000 trees. Eventually we are hoping for 3000 to 3500 trees.
Field A (on the left of the driveway) is our tree nursery. There are all planted in 25 gallon pots. You can choose and cut them just like any of our trees. But they are also available for live planting. If that is your desire.
Field B (on the right side of the driveway) are also Cypress trees they are all planted in the ground. We have just cleared several acres for planting next spring.
